Pawsitive Futures
The Pawsitive Futures program, funded by the Rachel Ray No-Kill Excellence grant, provides critical funding to help pets stay with the families who love them. At Auburn Valley Humane Society and Northwest Spay & Neuter Center, this support focuses on addressing medical and behavioral issues that often lead to pet surrender. By removing barriers to care, this program aims to keep pets out of shelters and safely at home.

Services include:
- Treatment for ear, eye, and skin conditions
- Care for allergies and joint problems
- Microchipping
- Return-to-owner (RTO) support at Auburn Valley Humane Society
- Health certificates for emergency travel
This program builds upon existing community support efforts by increasing access-to-care assistance and strengthening intake diversion pathways for at-risk pets and their families. This proactive approach helps identify challenges early and provides resources and support before surrender becomes necessary.
