Sparkly Clean Windows

Special thanks to Safelite for supplying AVHS with glass cleaner. We have overactive dogs that love to slobber on the kennel doors. Our staff and volunteers try to keep up with cleaning the windows so they are sparkly clean. Kudos to Safelite for helping the puppies and kitties.

A huge shout-out and thanks to the Green River College staff for their awesome donations to AVHS. Maggie coordinated the 3-week Campus Food Drive and presented AVHS with generous donations. We are so appreciative of their support in helping the furry critters.

Frugals Auburn

A special thanks to Frugals Auburn for hosting a May fundraiser to help the community animals with Auburn Valley Humane Society. Shane, the Frugals' manager, presents a generous check of over $1100 to Pebbles. Frugal's featured poster dog is Pebbles, an alum of AVHS. Pebbles goes to Frugal's every week to get her bacon from Beverly and the crew at the restaurant. Yum! Miss Wigglebutts thanks Frugals on behalf of all of the shelter and community animals!

Bark-Tells and Warm Pet Supply Drive

Warm 106.9 is partnering with Bartell’s for their first-ever Pet Supply Drive that benefits local animal shelters. You can help by raising funds and donating new and unwrapped supplies. The drive runs from February 27 through March 26th. Drop off items at the red bins at your local Bartell’s.
Needed are:

  • Cat Litter

  • Puppy Pads

  • Cash

Thank you to everyone who donates supplies that AVHS needs. On Facebook, we list the items that we desperately need or direct people to our Amazon wish lists or Chewy.com wish lists. Kyle and Tracy brought AVHS Alumni “Millie” to donate old towels, dog and cat treats, Easy Cheese, and lots of hotdogs! Thank you for those great treats!

Awesome DONATION ON 2.22.22

The White River Credit Union in Enumclaw donated $222.22 to Auburn Valley Humane Society during their employee contest for February 22, 22.

Tami chose her outfit and theme as “Two tickets to paradise. Pack your bags. We are leaving tonight!” Tami won the prize and donated to AVHS to benefit the animals. Awesome job Tami. The animals are jumping for joy!

True North Gear

Warehouse employees loaded the big van of donations for the Auburn Valley Humane Society. True North Gear donated fleece and fabric to the shelter for volunteers to make snuffle mats for the animals. Treats are placed in Snufflemats to keep rabbits, cats, and dogs busy with an interactive activity. We are so thankful for the generous animal lovers at True North Gear. They develop innovative and intuitive products for firefighting and industrial safety. Thank you True North Gear! Videos to follow once we have a few assembled.

Awesome Pet Pros

Pet Pros raised more than $5,500 from customer donations for the Auburn Valley Humane Society during their annual Paw-liday Giving Campaign in December. Pet Pros and their customers have been paw-mazing in their continued support and generosity. We are so thankful as it was a challenging and changing year. The successful campaign was made possible by generous animal lovers and their vendor partner, NutriSource. Thank you Lakeland and Bonney Lake Pet Pros!

GREEN PET, a MudBay Company presents AVHS

A big THANK YOU to Green Pet, a Mud Bay Co., for donating over 370 washable pet protection pads to AVHS for their fosters to use while training young kittens and puppies to potty as well as providing protection for senior cats or dogs that can’t quite make it to the litter box or outside to potty. Jen Haskins, AVHS Director of Public Services, accepted the numerous boxes of pee pads from Mud Bay Employees, Justin Anderson and Jennifer Andrews. We appreciate your generosity! Marshalls Donates Dog Toys

A big THANK YOU to the Marshalls store in Bonney Lake for donating lots of dog toys, squeakers, and rope toys for the dogs to enjoy at the shelter. HD Fowler Pacific Donates Big Time

Awesome job to the HD Fowler Pacific Branch for having a pet food drive for the AVHS Shelter. The branch manager upped the anty by having tickets for the 50” TV. If you brought in pet food, you got extra tickets. They brought in over $725 work of dog food, treats, paper towels, toys, and dog bones plus over $500 cash plus gift cards. Great job! We hope you win the branch contest so the shelter can benefit even more.

HD Fowler has 22 locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Utah. They are a family-owned distributor of waterworks, irrigation, pumps, and wastewater treatment equipment in the Northwest. Special thanks to the employees for doing an awesome job!

Thank You Grocery Outlet Kent

Chad & Erick delivered hundreds of pounds of dog food to the AVHS Shelter on Monday from the Grocery Outlet in Kent. They helped stack the bags in the minivan so we could take it to storage.

EZ-ACCESS (Division of Homecare Products - HPI)

The employees of EZ-ACCESS, divisions of Homecare Products (HPI) in Algona, held fundraisers all year long for 3 of their favorite charities in the community, the Auburn Food Bank, the Toys for Tots Drive by the Valley Regional Fire Authority and the Auburn Valley Humane Society. Suzanne Whitbeck, HPI Corporate Culture Manager, presented a generous check to AVHS. They also had collected dog toys, grooming dryer, and dog food to present with the check to benefit the puppies and the kitties in the shelter.

Christmas Cookie Exchange

Special thanks to the 2019 Christmas Cookie Exchange hosted by Cindy, Vicki and friends. Besides exchanging cookies and treats, they donated blankets, food, toys, towels, dog and cat food, and treats to benefit the shelter animals. The KeyBank Animal House Year End

KeyBank hosted the KBING celebration “Animal House” Year end event at Family Fun Center in Tukwila. Employees were asked to bring new animal toys, packages of animal food or treats, or cash donation to benefit the animals in the care of Auburn Valley Humane Society. KeyBank was matching cash donations to AVHS.

Girl Scout Troop 40931

Seven girls from Girl Scout Troop 40931 completed more than 350 hours of service doing their Silver Award Project by making pet beds, snuffles, dog blankets, tug toys, cat toys, and cat scratchers. They did an amazing job!

Senior Dogs at AVHS Fetch Grant

Special thanks to The Grey Muzzle Organization for awarding a grant to Auburn Valley Humane Society to help local senior dogs. The grant will give senior dogs the veterinary and dental care they need so they can go to a forever home and have a second chance in life.

Banfield Hospital

Banfield Hospital veterinarians and veterinary intern students enthusiastically completed their group project at Auburn Valley Humane Society’s animal shelter. They painted two sheds, put cedar chips and weed block down on the vet services backyard, and created a path to the parking lot. Awesome job while participating in a Lunch and Learn training with Royal Canin.

Little Rey was brought to our shelter by Auburn Animal Control Officers. Our AVHS Veterinary staff discovered that she was very sick. She was diagnosed with liver disease. Thanks to a wonderful foster home, she is improving and should be ready for adoption in the future. Rey has had many blood tests to determine the cause of her sickness. AVHS wants to thank Phoenix Lab for their partnership in helping to subsidize the cost of her bloodwork. They have been a part of our northwest community since 1989 and an AVHS partner since 2013!

Toril Sells Houses

The Toril Sells Houses team is always committed to giving back to the community. They launched their philanthropy program “Give Back Big Mission 2018” which focused on five core areas: children, health, homelessness, education and animals. AVHS is proud to partner with them to help the animals. They have raised over $14,000 in 2018. Thank you to all of the Toril Sells Houses Team!

The team has raised $48,426.42 through the 2018 year giving back to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, World Vision, HelpingHandHouse, Fred Hutch, and Auburn Valley Humane Society.

EZ-ACCESS is headquartered in Algona providing access to life beyond barriers. They provide accessibility for ramps, lifts, toilet lifts and so much more home products. Their employees went all out during the whole year to raise $1674.00 for the puppies and the kitties at the AVHS shelter.

Special thanks to The New 98.9 The Bull’s challenge on Friday, October 19, 2018. The Bull’s, Tim, Red and Claire partnered with the Auburn Valley Humane Society to have each person who donated to AVHS, was given a chance at bring the Starry Starry Jameson Painting home! Each hour random donors received tickets to Fright Fest at Wild Waves Theme & Water Park or tickets to VetsAid featuring Chris Stapleton at the Tacoma Dome on November 11th, 2018. Because of the radio listeners’ donations, AVHS will be able to change more lives. AVHS and The Bull raised $2,036.

Verity Credit Union

Awesome Verity Credit Union Team volunteered on a BANKING HOLIDAY in October 2018 to help the lost and homeless animals at the Auburn Valley Humane Society. Kudos for completing the backyard edging project, staining project, the adoption packets, and laminating all new kennel signs for us. Super thanks to the awesome team!
