Riley’s story

Riley was a 2 year old poodle mix that came to AVHS from another shelter who said he was not adoptable. AVHS did not give up on him! Riley had a special medical eating disorder, which could be controlled. Such a nice sweet boy, he was adopted within a few days to his furrever home.

He is doing great and is best friends with the son. Riley loves walks and going to the dog park. He has learned to use a ladder and be upright to eat his food. His new family has purchased a Bailey Chair, making it easier for him to eat. His congenital megaesophagus causes him to regurgitate his food. This is controlled by having him use a special chair.

He is so much more energetic and fun to have as part of the family!
