VOLUNTEER LOGIN
Once new volunteers have completed orientation and been made Active, they will be able to log-in to the Volunteer Information Center Portal (Portal for short). Volunteers will create a personal log-in using an email address and password of their choice. At the time of orientation, volunteers will receive printed instructions on how to create their log-in.
The portal allows volunteers to update their schedules, receive messages, sign up for training classes, and track their hours!
When volunteers arrive at the AVHS Animal Shelter, at the Thrift Store & More, Cat Café, or at NW Spay & Neuter Center, they must sign-in and sign-out each day. Each volunteer uses a pin number to sign-in at a computer station, on a tablet, or on a cell phone. Volunteers must be active and use their pin number (the 7 digits of their phone not including their area code). The kiosks are easy to use and assist AVHS in being more efficient with tracking your volunteer hours. If you need help with your kiosk login, contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
In the past eleven years, we could not have accomplished what we have done without the volunteers. They augment what we do at the Animal Shelter, the Thrift Store, Northwest Spay & Neuter Center, and Cat Cafe. We have a live release rate of 98%. We reunited pets with their owners at a 52% rate (much higher than the national average).
We have adopted 14,715 animals since 2013! We would not be near that number if we didn’t have the wonderful, giving, and supportive volunteers and donors every day! Read more about the results of our volunteer survey compared to other shelters throughout the nation by clicking on the button below.
