What is a Charter Member?
Charter Members were the first AVHS donors to recognize the importance of pets in our lives and community. A Charter Membership with the Auburn Valley Humane Society was an opportunity to become involved in a community resource from its inception. Their donation will leave a legacy that their children, their children’s children and our community will recognize for decades to come. There were a limited number of charter membership opportunities available and on behalf of our dedicated Board of Directors, our devoted volunteers and all the furry friends we care for here at the new shelter, AVHS would like to thank the Charter Members for your gracious support during our time of launching our new organization. Without their loyal support, this organization would still be a dream in the works and hundreds of local animals each year would be forced into the already overcrowded shelters of King County to a probable fate they do not deserve.
Their philanthropy can be seen as an investment in the Auburn Valley Humane Society’s mission. Their support has been the corner stone of the dream we share to protect animals in our community. Their commitment will help to ensure the future well-being of countless animals at the Auburn Valley Humane Society. Because of their assistance, the Auburn Valley Humane Society will be able to fulfill our mission of sheltering, rescuing and adopting animals, educating people of all ages to the needs of companion animals, and the ability to share companion animals with those in our community who need their comfort. AVHS will also be able to fund spay/neuter programs for animals at the shelter, insure efficient shelter operations, and continue in our goal of creating a more compassionate world.
The Auburn Valley Humane Society is now, and always will be, committed to providing a safe haven for homeless and abused pets until they can be placed into permanent, loving homes. Equally as important, the Auburn Valley Humane Society is an organization dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership by teaching compassion, respect and caring treatment for all living creatures.
