IT ALL STARTED WHEN Stiletto ARRIVED…

Stiletto was transferred from another shelter to AVHS because Stiletto needed the surgery. She needed an amputation and medical treatment for chronic diarrhea/gastrointestinal disease. She was 1.5 years old and needed medical care and love to heal.

She had extensive diagnostics for her health condition, including blood and fecal tests, intestinal biopsies, and many options for her inflammatory bowel disease. The amazing medical staff reviewed numerous options for her. Stiletto had her leg amputated. Her care was managed by the medical staff along with her foster family.

The medical staff reported she was healthy and healed. She was adopted after five months of foster care and love.  Please help us continue to help animals like Stiletto by donating today!

It all started when Meadow and Juniper Arrived…

Meadow arrived with Juniper at Auburn Valley Humane Society in mid-summer. Meadow was about eight months old, with a lame leg that could be painful as she could not bear weight on it. She was fearful and shy…yet, wanted to play with the staff when she first arrived.

The awesome medical team evaluated her medical condition and had extensive tests and treatment scheduled. She had radiology, restrictive activity, and an orthopedic consultation. It was determined that she had a fracture repair to her right hip and would need about eight weeks to heal. Looking for a foster to care for her would be a challenge. She was a growing puppy!

Extraordinary medical funds were used to provide her surgery and consultations. Surgery costs have more than quadrupled in the last year. That didn’t stop the AVHS medical and behavior teams.

Meadow had a successful surgery and healed. She was adopted in September and given a second chance. Please help us continue to help animals like Meadow by donating today!
