Meet PORK CHOP
My name is Pork Chop, and I came to the shelter as a stray. I am a 1 1/2- year-old German Shepherd mix and was a bit shy when I arrived. AVHS doesn’t know much about my past, but the staff noted my swollen eye and a broken tooth during my initial exam. During my neuter surgery, the excellent Veterinary staff found a bullet fragment near my left eye socket using their radiology equipment but could not remove it. They made sure I was stable.
The staff quickly switched to performing dental surgery to remove my crown tooth. The Vet says my left eye vision may be affected in the future, but it looks bright to me now. The staff did fantastic work to fix me up. They provided my adopters with resources to explore eye surgery. My adopters love and adore me, and my eye doesn’t bother me. Thank you, Auburn Valley Humane Society, for taking such good care of me.
Auburn Valley Humane Society did not give up on Pork Chop. They went beyond routine care to provide extraordinary medical and dental care to an animal. Won’t you help AVHS to continue its lifesaving efforts? I'm now living in my "fur"ever home, thanks to caring folks like YOU.
