Praline’s Story

It all started when…

When we found the shy coonhound mix, Praline showed signs of terrible neglect. She was timid and dangerously thin. She lived outside in squalor and she had never been on a leash. Her paws shook as she backed away from her rescuers. We don’t know her entire story, but it was plain to see: Praline had suffered for too long. And no animal should suffer from lack of love.

With love, understanding and plenty of food, Praline gained strength and confidence. The once-timid dog, now healthy and playful, sought affection from anyone willing to give it! We gave her treats and received a wagging tail! All we had to do was feature her as our Pet of the Week. We shared her story with our community, her sweet face — and the rest was history. Praline’s new family fell in love with her instantly.
