We adopted Chance from AVHS a year ago in March. He was for my Mom and we were hoping to train him to be a heating dog for my Mom. When we got him he would bite if you tried to pick him up and growled and snapped for lots of things.

It all started when Nana Banana arrived at the AVHS shelter from Texas in October 2018. She was transferred from one of our partners, Three Little Pitties. She was adopted several times but found a great family. She loves everyone with wet mopey kisses!
Sissy

Sissy came to Auburn Valley Humane Society earlier in mid-September. She is 10 years old, a sweet heart and is being given a second chance.
TONGO

Tongo, a 1 year old black and white mixed breed, was a stray on the streets of Jacinto City, Texas. He would be been euthanized if he hadn't been rescued! One of our partner rescues transported him to Washington for a second chance of life.
Riley

Riley was a 2 year old poodle mix that came to AVHS from another shelter who said he was not adoptable. AVHS did not give up on him! Riley had a special medical disorder which could be controlled. He was adopted within a few days and wend home to his furrever home.
KANE

Kane was a young labrador retriever mix running the streets. He endured a case of skin allergy that had gone untreated. He was suffering and anxious causing him to be jumpy.
Sammy

Earlier this year, Sammy was abandoned and running at large. He was rescued by the Animal Control Officer and came to Auburn Valley Humane Society with an embedded harness impression in his skin. Sammy was only six months old.
PRALINE
It all started whenā¦
When we found the shy coonhound mix, Praline showed signs of terrible neglect. She was timid and dangerously thin. She lived outside in squalor and she had never been on a leash. Her paws shook as she backed away from her rescuers. We donāt know her entire story, but it was plain to see: Praline had suffered for too long. And no animal should suffer from lack of love.
Kobe
IT ALL STARTED WHENā¦
Oh hi! Sorry about all of that slobber. Every face I see is a face I just have to kiss! My name is Kobe and I arrived here in May. A sweet, kind woman found me as a stray in Auburn and brought me to Auburn Valley Humane Society where my favorite animal care technicians, volunteer dog walkers, veterinary staff, and foster family have helped me get big and strong.

I'm Neo, a 3 year-old male miniature poodle mix. I was a lost doggie in Auburn. A good samaritan took me to the AVHS animal shelter. My new friends at AVHS gave me some special care because, I couldn't see well. My hair was severely matted around my face, tail and paws and I was underweight at only 8 pounds.

Iām Stella, a 1 year-old female mix. I was rescued from Texas with my mom and siblings.
